About the Artist:
The desire to walk around the barrel inspired a continual moving image of landscapes, zooming into details and framing those in their context. She used sketches from her sketchbook, of the area in which she lives in the Klein Karoo.
Sheena works in oils. She uses mainly the palette knife, concentrating on stances
of the people and the wonderful light our weather and country treats us to. She
applies her pastels heavily to create texture and depth to them. Movement is
something she works well with, a mere suggestion of a line creating a flow.
